STAN SMITH

Former student and Minden High School English teacher Stan Smith sustained a correspondence with Don that was filled with humor.  Their serious topics included poetry, education, and politics.  Too ahead of its time, Stan worked tirelessly to get their composition handbook The Shape a Writer Can Contain published.
